Attention students remember not to park in the senior parking lot unless you have purchased a spot. If you have purchased a spot please remember to park on your own spot and not someone else’s.

This year we are hosting the PSAT/NMSQT (Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test/ National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test) on Wednesday, October 17. Juniors who are planning to apply directly to a four-year school upon graduation should strongly consider taking the PSAT. It not only provides an opportunity to practice for the SAT/ACT college entrance tests but also, taken as a Junior, the PSAT is the route of entry into the National Merit Scholarship Programs as well as other award programs. Sophomores who are planning to go directly to a four-year school should consider taking the PSAT as a practice for next year. The fee to take the PSAT this year is $14.00. Students need to sign up and pay for the test in the office no later than Friday, Oct 12. The test will begin at 8:30am (This is a late start day so arrange for transportation).

Ladies: Need a dress for an upcoming formal? Longview’s Angels Closet has a free formal dress giveaway each month. Look for dates and locations on the posters around school or see Mrs. Delker.
