All School News

Are you planning to participate in Winter Sports?? Please come to the office to sign up ASAP for wrestling, boys’ basketball and girls’ basketball. Please see Mrs. Spaude to make sure that all your paperwork is in order and your physical is good for the whole season. Green cards for middle school basketball and wrestling will be given to coaches on Friday.

Congratulations to Josh Wall and Seth Freeman to making it to the second day of District Golf. Way to go guys!

Middle School News

The middle school football awards banquet will be held on this Wednesday at 6:00pm in the cafeteria.

Wrist bands are back! Earn your High-5 and wristband by being respectful, responsible and courteous. Teachers nominate you for your positive behavior over a long period of time. It’s not a one-time random act. Our goal is to make the world a better place.

Warning! Zombie Apocalypse approaching! You can prepare by attending the Zombie Apocalypse dance on October 19th. Entry price is $5.00 or $4.00 with an ASB card.

The middle school carnival is almost here, we are in need of baskets, stuffed animals, baked goods, gift certificates or any items that we can use for our auction. Please bring your donations to the office or Ms. Wilson’s room.

Attention all middle school Math is Cool competitors – We are having a mandatory meeting this Thursday in room 207 (Buchanan’s room) at 11:45am. Plan to attend because teams will be selected and if you miss, you may miss out. -Coach Buchanan

There will be a middle school girls’ basketball meeting this Thursday in Wilson’s room at 11:45am. This meeting is mandatory so plan to attend.

 

High School News

This year we are hosting the PSAT on Wednesday, October 17. The test will begin at 8:30am (This is a late start day so arrange for transportation).

LCC is hosting a Fall Information Night on Tuesday, October 16, 2012 from 6:30-7:30 in the student center. This event is geared toward high school juniors and seniors and their parents. Discussion topics include: getting started at LCC, programs and degrees offered, Tech Prep, Running Start, as well as Financial Aid and scholarships.

The Jostens representative will be here tomorrow (from 5:30-7:30PM) in front of the office. He will also be here on Thursday (at lunch) in the senior hall. Seniors should use this time to pre-order their Jostens items for graduation.

Attention FBLA members- Today is absolutely the last day to turn-in your conference permission forms. Students without a permission form will not be able to attend the conference.

Running Start

Please remember to read the entire bulletin so that you may stay updated with school news.

Any Running Start students participating in sports or any school sponsored activities are required to purchase an ASB card, complete the Activities Handbook & Running Start form in the office. Please see Mrs. Spaude if you have any questions.

Running Start Students: Registration for Winter quarter will be held Wed Oct 24, from 10-2 in the KHS counseling Center. LCC will be posting their Winter classes on Tuesday, Oct. 23. Be sure you look for your classes, fill out the RS enrollment verification form (available online) and have your parent sign-it before you meet with Marcy on Wed. 10/24.

Running Start Students: Please log into your Skyward account and but sure your email is active. Messages regarding upcoming events (such as registration) will be sent to you from your KHS email address.
