All School News
Are you planning to participate in Winter Sports?? Please come to the office to sign up ASAP for wrestling, boys’ basketball and girls’ basketball. Please see Mrs. Spaude to make sure that all your paperwork is in order and your physical is good for the whole season. Green cards for middle school basketball and wrestling will be given to coaches on Friday.
Kalama Middle/High School is planning to give the Healthy Youth Survey to grades 6, 8, 10 & 12 on Thursday, October 25th. This is a statewide survey regarding student safety and health. Parents are welcome to preview the survey in the high school office during normal business hours, 8am to 3:30pm. If you have any questions please call the high school office at 360-673-5212.
Picture retakes are scheduled for October 29th in the auditorium, please remember to bring your picture packet with you.
Middle School News
This week we are kicking off the Pumpkin Carving Contest! Enter your carved or painted pumpkin for a chance at a candy prize! Turn in your pumpkin by Tuesday, October 30th, in order to participate. Awards will be given on Halloween. Pumpkins must be taken home on Halloween. Ms. Wilson
Wrist bands are back! Earn your High-5 and wristband by being respectful, responsible and courteous. Teachers nominate you for your positive behavior over a long period of time. It’s not a one-time random act. Our goal is to make the world a better place.
The middle school carnival is almost here, we are in need of baskets, stuffed animals, baked goods, gift certificates or any items that we can use for our auction. Please bring your donations to the office or Ms. Wilson’s room.
High School News
Attention all sophomores: Sophomore advisories will be meeting in the auditorium this Wednesday, October 24th. Please check in with your advisor at the door. Ms. Pierce
There will be a high school boys’ basketball meeting on Thursday October 25th at 12:45pm in the upper gym.
All high school girls interested in playing basketball please come to Shipley’s room on Wednesday the 24th, during lunch, for an informational meeting.

Running Start Students: Registration for Winter quarter will be held Wed Oct 24, from 10-2 in the KHS counseling Center. LCC will be posting their Winter classes on Tuesday, Oct. 23. Be sure you look for your classes, fill out the RS enrollment verification form (available online) and have your parent sign-it before you meet with Marcy on Wed. 10/24.
Running Start Students: Please log into your Skyward account and but sure your email is active. Messages regarding upcoming events (such as registration) will be sent to you from your KHS email address.
Do not send students to the office unless they have a pass and please remember to give them your printer code.
