SNOW ROUTES – CLOSURES – LATE STARTS

Dear Parents:

If severe weather necessitates closing schools, opening them late or using snow bus routes, spot announcements are made by local radio and TV stations beginning as soon as possible after 6:00 a.m.

If the announcement is for SNOW BUS ROUTES, Route 2: No Service past Palisade Road on Italian Creek, meet bus at Palisade Road @ 7:05 am. No service past Tara Lane on Mt View Road, meet bus at Tara Lane @ 7:30am. Route 53: Will not travel beyond 8100 Bridge on Kalama River Road, meet bus at 8100 bridge @ 7:30am. Route 91: Will not travel past Rogers Road; meet bus at Rogers Rd @ 7:40am. Bus will not travel Taylor Rd, Water Watch Dr. or 5^th St., parents provide transportation. Route 92: Will not travel past JE Johnson Road on Green Mountain Road; meet bus at logging road with blue gate beyond JE Johnson Road @ 7:40am; will not travel Green Mountain shortcut which includes Angels Lane and Goldfinch Road, meet bus on Cloverdale at 7:45am. Route 98: Will not travel Green Mountain Road beyond Martin Bluff to turnaround; meet bus at “Y” on Green Mountain Rd and Martin Bluff @7:35am. Bus will continue down Lane Road. If the routes are passable and safe in the afternoon, we will return to the normal routes. However, if there is a safety issue then snow routes will be in effect in the afternoon as well as the morning. Questions regarding bus routes can be answered by calling 360-673-5450.

If school has been delayed – please keep listening to your broadcast, as the roads will be checked again later in the morning to see if they may be too hazardous to travel even at a late delay; in which case school would then be closed.

If there is no announcement, school is open and on a normal schedule.
